At base, is the conviction that this potential is nourished by a
tried-and-tested knowledge of the materials, techniques, chemical and physical phenomena at play in the process of ceramic creation.

Emmanuel Boos thus seeks to cover the whole creative process himself, beginning with the clay he uses. Thanks to a filter press, a ball mill and a clay mixer, acquired in 2002 with his master Jean Girel, he makes his own clay.

In the same spirit, he creates his own glazes, not only as a chemist but also as a chef - that is - bearing in mind that the final result is also a question of materials and that, although molecular analytical tools are certainly very important, they are also incomplete.
